Straight Record is one of those ARC Raiders jobs that sounds painless until you hit Victory Ridge and realise how exposed every interaction feels. You are not hunting for a loose gadget or some tiny object in the grass. The target is a fixed EMP rig, and the nearby terrain tells you where to go next. Bring a practical kit, keep room for ARC Raiders Items you might find on the way, and avoid turning this into a full-on fight unless you have to. The quest is quicker when you treat it as a short loop instead of a scavenger hunt.

Finding the EMP Trap at Victory Ridge

Head to Victory Ridge on Dam Battlegrounds, roughly between Ruby Residence and West Broken Bridge, north of the Hydroponic Dome Complex. The old trap sits on a bare dirt slope. You will spot a tall wired pole with a round unit near the top, plus cables trailing away across the ground. Walk up and use the control point first. That starts the switch phase. Before running off, take a second to look around. The hill is nearby, the wrecked house is easy to pick out, and one cable heads south. Those three landmarks are basically the whole mission.

Run the Switches as One Clean Circuit

People often lose time because they search each objective as if it is miles away. It is not. Everything is clustered around the pole, though the terrain makes it feel messier than it is. Stick to this order and you will avoid doubling back through open ground.

  • Take the first switch on the hill above the EMP pole
  • Circle the ruined house and climb outside to its upper floor
  • Follow the cable downhill towards the southern road for switch three
  • Return to the wired pole and shut the trap down

The hill switch gives you a useful look over the area, but do not hang about on the skyline. At the house, skip the broken interior stairs. They are a dead end. Use the generator, rubble, or ledges outside to reach the upper platform. Then, for the third switch, keep the cable in view without staring at your feet. The road and trees around it are common places for trouble to appear.

Victory Ridge can get awkward when ARC patrols or other Raiders wander through. You do not need to clear the whole zone. Check each interaction spot, deal with anything that is right on top of you, then move on. The house is the spot where players tend to bunch up, while the southern cable route is usually your best chance to peel away if somebody starts chasing. Once the third switch is off, go straight back to the pole. Leaving without that last interaction is the classic mistake, and it feels awful when you notice it halfway across the map.

The reward is five Medium Gun Parts and three Advanced Mechanical Components, so it is a worthwhile early progression run without needing expensive gear. If you are short on supplies, checking ARC Raiders Loot buy options can help you prepare, but a light loadout is still the sensible call here. Remember the route as hill, house, cable, pole. When the tracker confirms the shutdown, get out of the obvious quest area and decide whether the rest of the raid is worth the risk.
